Dhoni was the target of a defamation lawsuit brought by his former business partner Mihir Diwakar and his spouse Soumya Das before the Delhi High Court. Diwakar and Das have sought a direction to restrain Dhoni and people acting on his behalf from making defamatory allegations against them in connection with the alleged breach of the 2017 contract.
Dhoni has already charged fraud against his two former business partners. In his case, Dhoni stated that he was meant to receive a contract to start a cricket academy, but that instead, his Rs 15 crore was taken. The accusation stated that Mihir Diwakar created several cricket schools in India and overseas under the former captain of India's name, even after MS Dhoni revoked the rights on August 15, 2021. Additionally, he embezzled funds from the MS Dhoni Sports Academy and MS Dhoni Cricket Academy franchises. Dhoni's name was abused by his previous business partner. lied to them.
