YouTube launches amazing feature, videos will be dubbed automatically

YouTube is expanding its Auto-dubbing feature into Knowledge and Information-focused content videos. The feature was first introduced on last year's VidCon 2022 event. Aloud is an artificial intelligence (AI) technology developed by Google's own Area 120 incubator. As the term dubbing suggests, what it does is that with just a few clicks, the automatic captioning and translation functions on YouTube will automatically give video content subtitles and could make videos in English break barriers to other languages, or vice versa.

YouTube had informed about the expanded availability of this AI-powered auto-dubbing feature in its blog post. According to YouTube, hundreds of thousands of knowledge and information-focused channels under the YouTube Partner Program will be able to take advantage of this feature.

Creators who upload content in English can auto-dub them in French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. Vice versa - creators creating in any of the above-mentioned languages are able to dub into English. Videos that have used this feature of auto-dubbing will carry the "Auto-Dubbed" label. Viewers have a choice to switch to listen to the original audio if it exists, through the track selector.
