Mahindra SUV boosted the company's sales, crossed the 1 lakh production mark in just a few days

Within two years of its launch in India, the Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV has sold one lakh units. The automaker declared that this month's sales of its flagship SUV surpassed this threshold.

In doing so, it has emerged as one of the fleet's fastest SUVs. The Scorpio-N SUV costs, ex-showroom, between Rs 13.26 lakh and Rs 24.54 lakh.

Every month, this off-road capable SUV sells more than 8,000 units on average. Mahindra's sales have increased recently thanks to the Scorpio brand and the Scorpio Classic SUV. Thanks in part to Scorpio-N's growing appeal, Mahindra & Mahindra saw a 15% rise in sales last month. The automaker sold more than 43,000 SUVs nationwide in January, a 31% increase from the same month the previous year.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N is among the safest SUVs that are offered for sale in India right now. In the Global NCAP crash test, it obtained a rating of five stars. The Scorpio-N SUV from Mahindra is available with six or seven seats. There are four trim levels to choose from: Z2, Z4, Z6, and Z8.

The SUV is propelled by two engines: a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol and a 2.2-liter diesel, both derived from the XUV700 and Thar. There are two tunes available for the diesel engine. While the higher variant can produce up to 172 bhp and 400 Nm, the lower variant only manages to produce 130 bhp and 300 Nm.

The higher versions can opt for a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, but a 6-speed manual gearbox is the standard setup. The petrol engine can generate up to 200 horsepower at its maximum power and 380 Nm of torque at its peak output. Additionally, a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual gearbox are available.
