India-US FTA Talks: Piyush Goyal’s US Visit to Focus on Tariffs, Market Access and Trade Barriers
India is soon finalizing key trade agreements with the US, the European Union, and New Zealand. A free trade agreement with New Zealand is expected to be signed by mid-October and with the EU by the end of this year.
India is all set to embark upon its historic journey for entering into these three main trade deals including one with the USA. As per the information from the Commerce Ministry, India may enter into two such crucial trade deals during this year which will help in boosting up the export performance of the nation.
Of course, out of these deals, the most important deal is the trade deal between India and the USA, which is receiving worldwide attention.
Later in this month, India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal will visit America. Mr. Goyal will represent India in the two-day G-20 Trade Ministerial Meeting that will start from September 30 in Milwaukee.
