Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Sunday raised questions over the protests over the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy case.

Speaking to reporters in Papum Pare, Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday, the Union Minister said that if someone has committed corruption, should that person not be arrested? If someone has committed a liquor scam and looted crores of rupees, is there no need to take action against them?

Rijiju had a roadshow earlier in the district of Papum Pare. About the purported liquor policy scam, CM Kejriwal was detained by the ED on March 21. The Delhi government's excise policy for 2021–22, which was subsequently cancelled, is the subject of the case due to allegations of corruption and money laundering during its development and execution.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that after the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP-led NDA government is being formed. Rijiju said that the blueprint to create a developed India in the next 25 years is ready and it will be implemented once the NDA government returns to power.
