For the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, the England and Wales Cricket Board has given the responsibility of assistant coach of the team to former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard. Pollard will join the coaching staff of the England team for the T20 World Cup to be played on West Indies and American soil next year. England and Wales Cricket (ECB) has announced this. Pollard retired from cricket in April 2022. Pollard was part of the team that won the T20 World Cup 2012. He has played a total of 637 T20 matches in his cricket career.

ECB said that former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard has been given a big responsibility in the England coaching team for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Pollard will join the England cricket team as an assistant coach for the T20 World Cup and will help the team understand the local conditions.

Kieron Pollard had scored 1569 runs and taken 42 wickets in 101 matches for West Indies. He also captained the West Indies team in 63 T20 Internationals. He has been an important part of Mumbai Indians in IPL as an all-rounder. He has left the Mumbai Indians team. Although he is still active in franchise cricket.
