Iranian Ambassador to India Ends Term, Says Both Countries Are Natural Friends

Former Iranian Ambassador to Delhi, Iraj Elahi, ended his diplomatic career in India in a sentimental valedictory message that India and Iran are natural allies. Elahi expressed happiness that the Chabahar port was made operational during his stint, which was a significant achievement.

Iranian Ambassador Iraj Elahi said, "I firmly believe that Iran and India's inherent potential, cultural ties, and shared strategic independence make them natural partners." I am pleased that during this tenure, cooperation between our two countries has been activated in the strategic port of Chabahar—a gateway that will soon be connected to Iran's railway network, serving regional development and the global economy."

Elahi complimented the rich cultural heritage of India and recognized India's patronage to Iran in the past. He also invited Indians to come to Iran and realize their civilizational links.
