Impact of budget 2024, Apple reduced iPhone prices by 3-4%, see list
Budget 2024: Apple has reduced the prices of all its iPhone models in the Indian market by 3-4%, after which the prices of iPhones have been reduced from Rs 5,100 to Rs 6,000.
Recently, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has given a big relief to the tech industry in the budget by reducing customs duty on mobile chargers, parts used in mobile chargers, and mobile phones coming from abroad. Customs duty on items like mobile phones, parts, and chargers has been reduced by 15 percent. After this announcement, it was expected that there could be a huge reduction in the prices of mobile phones and chargers and now Apple has started it.
According to the report in Economics Times, Apple has reduced the prices of all its iPhone models in the Indian market by 3-4%, after which the prices of iPhones have been reduced from Rs 5,100 to Rs 6,000. This reduction has been made in the Pro model, while iPhones 13, 14, and 15 models have become cheaper by Rs 3,000 and the price of iPhone SE has been reduced by Rs 2,300.
This is the first time that Apple has cut the prices of the Pro model. Usually after the launch of the new iPhone, the old iPhones become cheaper and the old Pro model is discontinued in the Indian market. Currently, 18% and 22% customs duty is levied on imported phones in India, while 18% GST is not levied on phones made in India. Talking about Apple, 99% of Apple phones sold in India are Made in India.
