IMD Rain Alert: 14 people died in UP and 2 in Bihar due to lightning
IMD Alert: The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at different places in eastern Rajasthan and western Madhya Pradesh and extremely heavy rainfall at some places.

Monsoon rains have caused havoc in several states of the nation. Life is being totally disrupted because of heavy rains in several states. Heavy rains fell in UP and Bihar on Sunday. Aside from this, heavy rains also fell in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Ajmer railway station is under water as a result of heavy rains. Aside from this, death due to lightning has also been reported at several places.
Heavy rains on Sunday inundated several districts of Bihar. The rains brought relief to the population from the heat, but waterlogging created a lot of inconvenience for the people. A farmer lost his life in Baja village of Bharko Panchayat under Banka due to lightning. The deceased has been named as Anil Prasad Yadav. On Saturday, a woman also died due to lightning in Rohtas.
Monsoon rains have wreaked havoc in Uttar Pradesh. 14 people have died in the last 24 hours. Apart from this, many dams in the state have started overflowing. 20 gates of Matatila Dam and 17 gates of Govind Sagar Dam were opened in Lalitpur. Apart from this, heavy rains also occurred in Varanasi. Due to which the Ganges river is rising by 2 centimeters every hour.

Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at different places in eastern Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Odisha and western Rajasthan.
The pace of monsoon has stopped in Bihar, but it will be active once again from July 16. According to IMD, there will be no change in the maximum and minimum temperatures for the next 3-4 days. Actually, due to the system formed in the Bay of Bengal and the shift of the trough line towards the north, the activity of monsoon will increase in Bihar. This will cause rain in the state.
