If you love watching YouTube's trending page, then you are going to be shocked. The company has announced that it will shut down its trending page on July 21, 2025. The page was initiated in the year 2015, which displayed the most trending videos on the website. The firm confirms that over the past five years, there has been a massive decrease in traffic to this page, since people have begun to discover trending content on the platform in other ways.
YouTube said in its blog post that now people have started accessing trending videos from options like Shorts, Search Suggestions, Comments, and Community Posts. This is the reason why the usefulness of the trending page gradually decreased, and the company decided to shut it down.
YouTube said that now YouTube Charts will be used to watch trending videos. Currently, these charts are available only for YouTube Music, where users can see trending music videos, top podcast shows, and trending movie trailers. More categories will be added to it in the future. For gaming videos, users will still be able to see trending videos on the Gaming Explore page.
