Hyundai i20 gets new variant and new features; Know price and details
Hyundai i20: Hyundai has updated the range of its popular premium hatchback i20. Now, a new variant, Magna Executive, has been added to it.
Hyundai has upgraded its range of premium hatchback i20. Now, a new Magna Executive variant is added to it, whose ex-showroom cost is kept at about Rs 7.5 lakh. With this, iVT transmission and smart electric sunroof features are also being offered for the Magna variant now.
While that is so, the Sportz (O) version of i20 is now equipped with more premium features than ever before. These features comprise push-start with smart key, smart electric sunroof, and a Bose 7-speaker premium sound system that is extremely unique in this class.
The Magna Executive MT is priced at about Rs 7.5 lakh. At the same time, the Magna MT is priced at about Rs 7 lakh. However, if you wish to purchase the Magna iVT variant with an automatic gearbox, its price is about Rs 9 lakh.
The price of the Sportz (O) MT variant is around Rs 9 lakh, while its dual tone version will be available for around Rs 9 lakh. The top model of this series, i.e., Sportz (O) iVT variant, comes for around Rs 10 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
Tarun Garg, Director and COO, Hyundai Motor India, said that i20 has always set new benchmarks in the premium hatchback segment in terms of design, innovation, and features. He said, "With the launch of Magna Executive variant and adding new features to Sportz (O) trim, our aim is to make i20 even more affordable and attractive for customers."
Hyundai is now also offering customers a new 25.55 cm touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A rear camera is also provided with it. This accessory is available for around Rs 15,000. And the company is giving a 3-year warranty on it.
Hyundai i20 has a 1.2-liter Kappa petrol engine, which generates 86.7 bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 114.7 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. This engine comes with two transmission options - one 5-speed manual and the other iVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission).
The price of the Hyundai i20 now starts from around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to around Rs 11.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The company also announced benefits of up to ₹ 50,000 on the i20 earlier this month, making the deal even more attractive.
