Arunachal Pradesh mountaineer Kabak Yano has brought glory to the state and the country by successfully summiting Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. Governor Lieutenant General KT Parnaik (retd) welcomed her success. He stated that Yano has once again proved the adventure spirit and willpower of Arunachal Pradesh.
The Governor had flagged off Yano's expedition on July 28. Yano, who has been a successful climber of Mount Everest, hoisted the tricolor on the peak of Kilimanjaro on August 4 at 10:27 am (African time). This peak is 5,895 meters high.
Not only is it the highest peak in Africa, but it is also considered to be the world's highest free-standing mountain peak. It is worth mentioning that climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, which is considered one of the Seven Summits, i.e., the highest peaks of all seven continents, is considered difficult, which Yano conquered with his courage.
