USS Abraham Lincoln to Return to US After 266-Day Deployment Amid Reports of Sailor Hardships

According to reports doing the rounds on social media, this move comes as reports about deterioration of conditions on the aircraft carrier are circulating, including food shortages, shortage of hygiene supplies, issues with toilets and water systems, and lack of port visits. As per CNN, the aircraft carrier had not stopped at any port for over 200 days.

According to ANI, Kao acknowledged that some mental health issues were treated during the deployment, though no fatalities were reported. Meal plans were altered due to a lack of fresh supplies, and calls home were sometimes limited due to operational hazards.

According to the Associated Press, the US has withdrawn its last aircraft carrier from Asia as Donald Trump's focus shifts to the Iran war. It is departing the Pacific Ocean and is expected to replace the USS Abraham Lincoln in West Asia.
