The ruckus over the issue of NEET continues from Parliament to the road. In Rajya Sabha, too, the opposition MPs have tried to corner the government today over the NEET paper leak. During this, many uproars took place in the House. On which former PM HD Deve Gowda has appealed to the opposition—let the House run smoothly. The government cannot fix responsibility until an investigation is completed in this matter.

Opposition MPs created a ruckus in Rajya Sabha demanding discussion over the NEET issue. During this, MPs have raised slogans and reached the well of the House. Former PM Deve Gowda expressed his displeasure over the matter. He said, "Lakhs of students got affected due to the irregularities in NEET. I do not want to take any side.". It is the right decision that the government has taken by handing over the investigation to the CBI. 'Still, the investigation is underway,' he said, and 'the government cannot fix anybody's responsibility in this matter till it gets completed.'. Thereby, the opposition MPs should allow the House to function. When the opposition MPs did not agree even after the appeal of Deve Gowda, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said, "It's miserable that the opposition is not even ready to hear a veteran leader like Deve Gowda.".

Under Rule 267 on the issue of NEET irregularities, there is a demand to postpone scheduled work and discuss the matter; Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar received 22 notices. The opposition members started raising a ruckus over their needs. Dhankhar said that President Draupadi Murmu while addressing the joint session of Parliament on Thursday, has mentioned that the government is fully committed to conducting fair investigations into the recent paper leak incidents and punishing them. He said the President has also spoken of the government working towards comprehensive reform in the institutions related to examinations and their functioning. As the discussion on the motion of thanks in the President's address is scheduled for Wednesday, the chairman said that the members can reap this opportunity and take up concerns related to NEET. Saying this, the Chairman rejected all the notices, after which the uproar and jhala increased even more among the opposition members.
