Today only women police personnel will be deployed for PM's security; happening for the first time
Women's Day: Gujarat's Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi said that Gujarat Police is taking a unique initiative. For the first time in the history of India, the entire security arrangements of the Prime Minister's program will be handled by women police personnel. This includes the security of the PM from the arrival of the PM at the helipad in Vansi Borsi village of Navsari to the security of his program venue.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Gujarat. He will attend a program in Navsari on International Women's Day on 8 March. The security for this program will be handled by women police officers. This is being done for the first time in India. In addition to this, on International Women's Day, the Prime Minister has announced that he will be delegating control of his social media handle to women.
Gujarat Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi stated that Gujarat Police is initiating something unique. In the history of India for the first time, women police staff will be responsible for the entire security arrangements of the program of the Prime Minister. This ranges from the security of the PM from the PM's arrival at the helipad in Navsari's Vansi Borsi village to the security of the program venue. He said that all women police personnel including more than 2,100 constables, 187 sub-inspectors, 61 police inspectors, 16 deputy superintendents of police, five superintendents of police, one inspector general of police, and one officer of additional DGP rank will be deployed in the security system. The Prime Minister will address the 'Lakhpati Didi Sammelan' in Vansi Borsi village.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address more than 1.1 lakh women at the Lakhpati Didi program in Navsari, Gujarat on the occasion of International Women's Day on Saturday. PM Modi will distribute financial assistance of more than Rs 450 crore to more than 2.5 lakh women from more than 25,000 self-help groups (SHGs) across the state. PM Modi arrived in Gujarat on a two-day visit on Friday. PM Modi will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 2,587 crore during his Gujarat visit.
