State-owned coal company Coal India Limited (CIL) has declared major festive presents for its workers. The organization has introduced various welfare plans for all Non-Coal employees. The Ministry of Coal has introduced a number of welfare plans for all employees of Coal India Limited (CIL), its subsidiaries, and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).

The biggest effort is the enhancement of the insurance cover for workers to ₹1 crore. Employees will not pay any premium under this scheme, and this will safeguard their families financially. Temporary employees have been given insurance cover for the first time, a landmark move towards welfare that is inclusive. Temporary employees will also not be paying premiums under this scheme of insurance.

Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy announced these measures. He stated that a uniform dress code has been implemented across Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries. This dress code, which will be the same for everyone from the Chief Executive Officer to the rank-and-file employee, symbolizes equality, unity, and a unified identity in the coal sector.
