BMW Motorrad: BMW Motorrad India has discontinued the sale of its cheapest motorcycles BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS in India. Both these bikes were launched in India in 2018 and were manufactured at the Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu in partnership with TVS-BMW.
BMW Motorrad India has stopped selling its lowest-priced models BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS in India. Both these models were introduced in India in 2018 and were being made in the Hosur facility in Tamil Nadu in association with TVS-BMW. They are also no longer listed on the BMW India website. This has now made it certain that the company has discontinued these bikes officially. Although its official announcement has not yet been done.
After the discontinuation of these bikes, the BMW G 310 RR has become the company's lowest-priced offering. This bike is in effect a badge-engineered model of the TVS Apache RR 310 and BMW will continue to keep it in its lineup. As per reports in the press, the dealers are claiming that the sale of G 310 R and G 310 GS has stopped since January 2025 and even were not updated as per OBD-2B emission standards.
It should be noted that these bikes continue to be offered in overseas markets. Provided that the regulations there support it, the G 310 R and G 310 GS will continue to be sold.
