At least 15 flights were diverted at Delhi airport on Saturday evening due to bad weather. According to sources, nine flights were diverted to Jaipur, two to Amritsar, two to Lucknow, one to Mumbai and one to Chandigarh. Meanwhile, there was a sudden change in the weather in the national capital and it rained in many parts of Delhi on Tuesday evening.

Notably, the intense heat in Delhi-NCR has subsided for some people. On Tuesday, the weather here unexpectedly changed, and it started to rain. Tuesday afternoon saw the sky start to cloud over, and there was a chance of heavy rain. By evening, thunderstorms and heavy rain were present, though they were brief. The unexpected weather changes have also resulted in a decrease in temperature.

Senior scientist of IMD, Dr Naresh Kumar, while talking to news agency ANI, said that the temperature in eastern India can reach 44 degrees Celsius in the next 4-5 days.

Kumar said, "Our estimate in Delhi is that the temperature is expected to be around 38 degrees Celsius in the coming 2-3 days. After this, it may gradually increase by 1-2 degrees and with this there will be light rain tomorrow. There is also a possibility of rain. At present, the temperature at 1-2 stations has reached 44 degrees Celsius in East India and 44 degrees Celsius in North-West India. Can reach."
