Xiaomi Confirms April 13 Launch of Redmi A7 Pro 5G; HyperOS 3, Gemini AI and Big Battery Revealed

Xiaomi plans to launch its new smartphone, Redmi A7 Pro 5G, in India tomorrow. The company has announced the launch date as well. The launch will be held on April 13 at 12 noon. Prior to the announcement, Xiaomi created a microsite for the smartphone.

The microsite highlights the design and some of the specifications of the device. The phone comes with a larger battery, software updates, and AI functionality. The global version offers similar specifications to those of the phone. It has a 6.9-inch screen and an octa-core 5G processor. The company has confirmed that the device will run on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

The microsite also reveals that it will include several AI features. The device will also offer Google's 'Circle to Search' feature and an in-built Gemini voice assistant. Design-wise, the Redmi A7 Pro 5G will feature a flat frame and a bullet-shaped rear camera module.

For photography, this Redmi device is expected to feature a 32-megapixel dual AI rear camera setup. It is also expected to pack a large 6,300mAh battery. On the front, the device is expected to feature a waterdrop-style notch that will house the front camera. This is said to be an affordable phone that will offer a number of impressive features at a low price.
