West Asia Crisis Disrupts Flights: More than 142 international flights were cancelled at Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kolkata airports due to the West Asia crisis. Some airlines have resumed limited operations, while the Ministry of Civil Aviation is monitoring the situation.
Over 140 international flights were canceled on Friday at Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kolkata airports due to the West Asia crisis. However, some flights are now operating, but only a few and to a few West Asian destinations.
Officials said at least 142 flights were cancelled at the four airports, including 39 departures and 34 arrivals at Mumbai airport. A total of 33 flights were cancelled at Bengaluru airport, including 15 departures and 18 arrivals, while 15 departures and 14 arrivals were cancelled at Delhi airport.
Kolkata airport has canceled 7 flights, out of which 4 were departure flights and 3 arrival flights. Akasa Air has posted on X that it will operate a Mumbai-Jeddah-Mumbai flight. It will also operate flights from Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Kochi to Jeddah on Saturday.

SpiceJet said it would operate 14 flights to bring back stranded passengers from the UAE. The Ministry of Civil Aviation said it is monitoring the situation in West Asia and that Indian airlines cancelled a total of 281 flights on Thursday.
The Embassy of India in Doha provided information regarding visas, transit, and travel outside Saudi Arabia for Indian expatriates in Qatar amid escalating tensions in West Asia. The Embassy has provided a registration link to assist Indian citizens stranded in Qatar in obtaining temporary transit visas to Saudi Arabia.
Indians with confirmed tickets to travel outside Saudi Arabia can use this link. Indians were informed that "the Salwa land border crossing to Saudi Arabia remains open for the time being. Qatar Airways has extended the temporary suspension of its flight operations due to the closure of Qatar airspace."
