Volkswagen Taigun is getting a discount of more than Rs 1 lakh, the country's safest SUV has become very affordable

Volkswagen Taigun is equipped with two engine options. This includes a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine as well as a smaller 1.0-litre TSI engine.
German auto giant Volkswagen reduced the prices of its flagship SUV Taigun in April. The carmaker has made its SUV, which rivals the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta, cheaper by more than Rs 1 lakh this month.

According to the official website of Volkswagen, the carmaker is offering a discount of Rs 70,000 on the entry-level variant of the Taigun SUV. The new starting price of the SUV is Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). Its Comfortline variant is equipped with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine and comes with a manual gearbox.
