Unique Identification Authority of India Partners with Google to Show Aadhaar Centres on Maps
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), in collaboration with Google, has launched the feature of locating the nearest Aadhaar center on Google Maps. This will make it easier for people to access authorized centers for making or updating their Aadhaar cards.
People will not have to search around to find the authorized Aadhaar centers where they can make or change their Aadhaar cards. Soon, people will be able to easily locate the nearest Aadhaar center using Google Maps. UIDAI has partnered with Google.
The authorized Aadhaar centers will be shown on Google Maps. This will make it easier for people to access the authorized Aadhaar centers. According to an official statement, this initiative will help people identify Aadhaar centers for various services, including which centers register adults.
Where children can get their Aadhaar card made, and where only addresses and mobile numbers can be updated. This feature will be available in the coming months. The collaboration with Google aims to enhance public convenience, prevent misinformation, and ensure citizens have seamless access to over 60,000 Aadhaar centres across the country, including state-of-the-art Aadhaar Seva Kendras.

This will ensure that users are directed to verified Aadhaar centres when they search on Google Maps. UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar said, "UIDAI's objective has always been to ease the lives of Aadhaar number holders. This collaboration will ensure that access to authorised Aadhaar centres will now be easier, faster, and more transparent."
