According to the FIR, on November 13th at 11:25 pm, an email was received on the official BMRCL email address, in which Ropi threatened to blow up the metro station if his ex-wife was harassed by metro employees after work.
The police declared the threat to be a hoax and registered a case under Section 351 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and began an investigation.
According to the police, the accused owned a printing press that had closed years ago due to losses. He has no children and has been living alone since their separation. Contrary to what the email stated, his wife did not work for the BMRCL.
When his phone was searched, approximately 50 random email addresses were found, some of which belonged to news channels and newspapers, the police, and politicians. A police officer stated that all emails had been blocked.
