Meta-owned Instagram faced some problems late at night. Due to this, people had to face difficulties in using its services. According to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com, thousands of users faced technical problems in using the platform on Wednesday. However, shortly after, Instagram informed that its services were resumed.

It became most visible at around 11 pm, during which the maximum number of complaints received was 1,00,000 on Facebook, while about 70,000 complaints came in on Instagram. The number of reports received by four in the morning fell to about 1,000 for both applications. Downdetector bases its figures based on user reports.  The actual number of affected users may vary.

A few users of Facebook and Instagram even posted on 'X' that they were facing problems and some sort of technical glitch was going on, which Meta should fix as soon as possible.

This is not the first time such an outage has happened due to a technical problem. Earlier this year, millions of Facebook and Instagram users were affected when both platforms went down for over two hours. In October too, these platforms had an outage, but the services were restored within an hour.
