T-20 World Cup 2024: India won the World Cup after 13 years, fireworks took place with great pomp in Chhattisgarh

An undeclared voluntary Diwali was celebrated in the city after 12 o'clock on Saturday night. Groups of youth from the streets and mohallas were seen waving and cheering towards the Jai Stambh, the heart of the capital Raipur, on bikes, cars, and open jeeps.

Just ten minutes after the last ball of India's victory in the World Cup cricket, thousands of people gathered at the intersections on both sides of the Jai Stambh… Then there was a spectacular fireworks display with hundreds of tricolors and the sound of Bharat Ki Jai-Vijay for an hour from the road to the sky. There, even strangers were seen congratulating each other on India's huge victory.

Every face reflected patriotism and victory. Many families had come to celebrate India's victory, carrying their youngsters on their shoulders and clutching their hands. Nobody was concerned about the traffic gridlock and rushed to exit. Hundreds of phone cameras were blinking. Everyone wanted to capture this event on camera and present it to their loved ones. Many spots had food vendors and shops open till late at night. A similar vibe prevailed throughout the city.
