Doctor Attack: After the incident of attacking a female intern, junior doctors and students of Padmavati Medical College for Women protested against the incident. The patient has been identified as Bangaraju who had come to Tirumala for a pilgrimage with his family. He had come to the hospital for the treatment of a patient. During this time, he attacked the female intern who was treating the patient.

The rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata have continued to add to the resentment of the doctors. Doctors on strike demand that justice and safety in hospitals be ensured by the government.

There has also been a report of a case of patient attack in Andhra Pradesh wherein the casualty ward of the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences witnessed an attack on a lady intern.

Junior doctors and students of Padmavati Medical College for Women protested against the assault on the female intern.
