The pair of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head have equaled a major record in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The duo formed the opening pair for SRH and made a 129-run opening stand against MI on Wednesday. Hence, Abhishek and Travis Head are now the joint No. 1 pairing for the highest number of century stands for the opening pair in the IPL.

Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head have created century stands for the opening pair six times in the history of the IPL. These two are the only active duo to achieve this milestone. Abhishek and Travis Head share this feat with David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan, who hold this record. David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan have five such partnerships, respectively.
