OMA vs NAM: Oman tied the lost match in the last over, but Namibia won in the Super Over

The hosts, the United States and the West Indies have both won their first two T20 World Cup 2024 matches. On Monday morning, Oman and Namibia played their third T20 World Cup 2024 match in Group B. Namibia won the toss and decided to field first in this match, which was played at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, bowling Oman out for 109 runs in 19.4 overs. Namibia responded by scoring only 109 runs, tying the match. Following this, Namibia won the Super Over.

While Namibia did not meet its target of 110 runs, it batted first and scored 21 runs in the Super Over. Oman's batsmen failed to score 22 runs in the Super Over and finally, Namibia registered its first win in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Looking at the pitch at Kensington Oval, Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus won the toss and invited Oman to bat first. His decision was proved right by his bowlers and the entire Oman team was bowled out for just 109 runs in 19.4 overs. For Oman, Khalid Kail scored 34 runs off 29 balls with the help of one four and one six, while Zeeshan Maqsood scored 22 runs off 20 balls with the help of four fours. Apart from this, no other batsman could even reach the figure of 20. On the other hand, Ruben Trumpelman took four wickets and David Wiese took three wickets for Namibia.
