India Beat Zimbabwe by 7 Wickets in 1st T20I as Vaibhav Suryavanshi Smashes Record Fifty

In response, Team India sealed the match in just 13.2 overs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi shared a 23-run opening stand with Abhishek Sharma, though Abhishek contributed only one run to the team's total. Vaibhav then strengthened the innings by adding 45 runs off 21 balls for the second wicket alongside Ishan Kishan. Vaibhav played a knock of 50 runs off 19 balls, featuring four sixes and as many fours. At the age of 15 years and 118 days, he became the youngest male player in the world to score a half-century in T20 International cricket.

Captain Shreyas Iyer (28 not out) came in to bat at number four; he added 46 runs off 31 balls for the third wicket with Ishan Kishan (35) and then steered the team to an easy victory by sharing an unbroken 12-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Tilak Varma (6 not out). For the hosts, Blessing Muzarabani took 2 wickets for 26 runs, while Richard Ngarava claimed one wicket.

After losing a T20 series 0-2 against Ireland, Captain Iyer had previously lost a five-match T20 series 0-4 against England. He has finally secured his first victory as captain in his eighth match. The remaining matches of the series are scheduled to be played at the same venue on July 25 and 26.
