IND vs ENG: Shubman Gill half-century, Rohit-Iyer failed again, India's score 130/4 till lunch on the third day

India scored 130 runs on the third day of the second Test match between England and India at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. India had lost four wickets up until the second innings's launch. Given the lead accumulated in the first innings, India has a 273-run advantage over England. Shubhman Gill and Akshar Patel, two young batsmen, are at the wicket.

India's score at the end of the second day of play was 28/0. At the crease stood Rohit and Yashasvi. After scoring 13 runs in 21 balls, captain Rohit Sharma was removed due to a poor start to the third day. James Anderson bowled him clean. Yashasvi eventually fell victim to Anderson's manipulations as well. On the score of 30 runs, James Anderson got Yashasvi Jaiswal caught out by Joe Root at first slip. He scored 17 runs in 27 balls.

After this, Gill got two leases of life one after the other. He along with Shreyas Iyer made a half-century partnership for the third wicket. But Shreyas Iyer went on at 111 runs. He was caught out by Tom Hartley at the hands of captain Ben Stokes. Iyer once again flopped and scored 29 runs in 52 balls.
