The government also reiterated that it is "fully committed to human rights, equality, respect for all people, and the fight against racism, xenophobia, intolerance, and all forms of hatred and discrimination."

The French Football Federation (FFF) also supported Mbappé, calling Amarilla's comments criminal and reprehensible. The federation said it was "filing a complaint with the public prosecutor's office with the aim of initiating legal action."
