Bangladesh secured the famous 9-wicket win by scoring 57 runs at the cost of 1 wicket in 14.2 overs. Shadman Islam made an unbeaten score of 25 and Mominul Haque scored 30 runs. Tanjid Hasan, who scored a hundred in the first innings, got out without scoring any runs.
In the second innings of Australia, they got bowled out for 284 runs. No other Australian batsman could withstand the Bangladeshi bowlers except for Cameron Green. Green fought alone.
