The song would later attain worldwide popularity, and in 2023, it collected the Oscar award for best original song and a Golden Globe Award in that same category. These unforgettable scenes of the song were shot in front of the imposing walls a few months before the Russian palace invasion.

Of course, the Oscar-winning song production team did plan its shoot in India. However, it was the scheduling of the monsoon season that disrupted the plans, after which they were suggested to shoot the song at the Mariinsky Palace in Kiev. According to SS Rajamouli, the director of the film, he had some doubts about shooting at Rashtrapati Bhavan initially. Still, the quite warm response from the Ukrainian team alleviated these misgivings.
