Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler startup Simple Energy has updated its Simple One electric scooter to Generation 1.5. The special thing is that the company has not increased its price even after the update. It still costs more than Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

While the certified range (IDC) of Simple One's Gen 1 was 212 km, Gen 1.5 provides a range of 248 km in a single full charge. Which makes it India's longest-range electric two-wheeler. Simple Energy has made this claim.

This electric scooter can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 2.77 seconds. It now also comes with a park assist feature that moves forward and backward. The under-seat storage of over 30 liters is claimed to be the best in this category.

Apart from increasing the range, Generation 1.5 has several software improvements, such as app integration, navigation, updated ride modes, park assist, OTA updates, regenerative braking, trip history and statistics, customizable dash theme, find my vehicle feature, auto-brightness and tone/sound. It also has features like rapid brake, tire pressure monitoring system, and USB charging port.

The Simple One Gen 1.5 is now available at Simple Energy dealerships. Also, Simple One Gen 1 owners can upgrade via software updates. The price of Simple One Gen 1.5 is more than Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). It also has a 750W charger.

Simple Energy now has 10 stores in Bengaluru, Goa, Pune, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Vizag and Kochi. It plans to expand to 23 states with 150 new stores and 200 service centers by FY26.
