Renault has unveiled its new Kardian SUV in the global market. Earlier, the company had also released several teasers of the new Guardian. It is expected that the company will launch the Renault Kardian SUV in Brazil for the first time. If it is launched in India then it will be placed above Kiger. Come, let us know about it.

Powering the Renault Kardian is a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine that produces 123 bhp of maximum power and a peak torque output of 220 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine also has a stop-and-start system, which helps in improving fuel efficiency.

In comparison, the Renault Kiger in India is offered with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which generates 99 bhp of maximum power and 160 Nm of peak torque. It has been introduced with CVT automatic transmission.

Renault Cardian is based on the CMF platform and measures 4.12 meters in length. The CMF platform is modular, so it can give rise to cars with a length of 4 to 5 meters and a wheelbase between 2.6 to 3 meters. The boot space of Cardian is 410 liters.

Talking about the design, Renault Kardian has been given a split headlamp setup and flat bonnet. To enhance the appeal of the SUV, there are plastic cladding on the sides, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, shark-fin antenna, and roof rails. Its rear looks similar to that of the India-spec Kiger.

Talking about the features, Renault Kardian has been introduced with ambient lighting, which changes according to the driving mode. Apart from this, safety features like 13 advanced driver assistance systems, 6 airbags, blind spot warning, 360-degree parking camera, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, and electronic stability control are available.
