Porsche 911 Turbo special edition launched on completion of 50 years, priced at Rs 4 crore
Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition: Car manufacturer Porsche has launched the 50-Year Edition of 911 Turbo. The ex-showroom price of this model in India is Rs 4.05 crore. Its price is about Rs 7 lakh more than the current Turbo S (Rs 3.35 crore). This car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.
Luxury car maker Porsche's 911 Turbo has recently completed 50 years. For which the company has launched its special edition, which is now available for sale in India. The company will make only 1,974 units of it. This model has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.05 crore. Let's know what are its features.
It features graphics inspired by the 911 RSR Turbo concept. Other touches that lend to its exclusivity include special Turbo badging, special vinyl decals, and Turbonite accents highlighting its historical value. The Classic Heritage Design package also boasts fresh Aventurine Green metallic paint with satin white graphics. It has a gold-finished Turbo 50 and Porsche logo at the rear.
It is based on the recently launched Turbo S, which is strong in performance. This model exudes 641 bhp of power and 800 Nm of peak torque from a 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine. The acceleration is from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.7 seconds, and it has a top speed of 330 kmph. This is more than the doubling of power from the 1974 930 Turbo and an illustration of how much the species has evolved in these five decades.
Coming to its cabin, this special edition has classic Mackenzie tartan on the seats and doors while the interior highlights in available does give a look from the outside colour. Along with that, the Heritage Design Package has got green finished dials on the instrument cluster and sport chrono clock which makes its cabin look even more luxurious.
Price The Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition will have a price tag of Rs 4.05 crore, about Rs 7 lakh more than the current Turbo S which cost around Rs 3.35 crore. This one, on the other hand, costs Rs 2 crore more than the 911 Carrera base model coming at Rs 1.99 crore and roughly Rs 1.26 crore more than Carrera 4 GTS costing Rs 2.75 crore.
