Five years ago, after the 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to meditate in the Kedarnath cave. Now, during the last phase of the 2024 election season i.e. the seventh phase, PM Modi will meditate at the Rock Memorial.

This rock memorial is a memorial built as a tribute to Swami Vivekananda. On Thursday, June 30, PM Modi will be immersed in meditation here for 45 hours. In view of this, all arrangements including heavy security have been completed.

During this, a strong team of 2,000 policemen and various security agencies will keep a close watch. In fact, BJP leaders said that PM Modi will come here after the conclusion of the Lok Sabha election campaign on May 30.

From May 30 to June 1, PM Modi will be meditating at Dhyan Mandapam. Prior to Modi's visit, security measures have been tightened. Superintendent of Police E Sundaravathanam and Tirunelveli Range DIG Pravesh Kumar examined the security setups at the State Guest House, Boat Jetty, Rock Memorial, and Helipad in Kanyakumari.

As the prime minister's main security detail arrived at the location, a practice helicopter landing on the helipad was also carried out. There will be about two thousand police officers stationed in and around Kanyakumari. On May 30, Modi will travel to Kanyakumari in the afternoon for a spiritual visit. He's going to the memorial after this.

He is likely to stay at Vivekananda Rock Memorial till 3 pm on June 1, when voting will take place for the seventh and final phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in the country. A source said that as the Prime Minister will be there for about 45 hours for meditation, the Coast Guard, Indian Coast Guard, and the Indian Navy will maintain surveillance on the maritime borders.
