As of now, the service has been launched in Puducherry and it will be started soon all over the country. BSNL on its official X handle announced that BiTV will bring a complete change in the field of TV watching. Under this service, live TV channels and movies, and web series can be watched absolutely free on your mobile device using BSNL SIM.
BiTV is one of the seven new services of BSNL that was introduced in IMC 2024. Among them, the fiber-based Intranet TV service is trending. This allows BSNL broadband users to watch more than 500 live TV channels free of cost. On the other hand, this facility is now being expanded for mobile users through Direct-to-Mobile (D2M) service, which will definitely prove to be a serious challenge for traditional DTH providers.
The OTT platforms have already changed DTH viewership, and BiTV from BSNL took it one step further. With the facility of free live TV on smartphones, mobile users can enjoy their favorite channels anywhere and anytime without a traditional home setup.
