No entry of these vehicles in Delhi from November 1, fuel will not be available even at petrol pumps
To reduce the rising pollution in Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced that from November 1, 2025, only BS6 CNG and electric vehicles will be allowed to enter Delhi. This rule is specifically for commercial vehicles. ANPR cameras will be installed for surveillance, which will scan the number plate and identify old vehicles and prevent them from entering Delhi.

To reduce the ever-increasing air pollution in Delhi a big step has been taken. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced that only BS6, CNG, and electric vehicles will be allowed to enter Delhi from November 1, 2025. This rule has been brought especially for commercial vehicles. Along with this, ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras will also be installed in Delhi to prevent old and polluting vehicles from entering Delhi.
Pollution is increasing seriously each year during the winter season in the capital, Delhi. To curb this, M Rekha Gupta has resolved to take stringent measures. For this purpose, she has introduced a new regulation for all commercial vehicles from outside Delhi from 1st November 2025. Under this regulation, only those vehicles will be allowed to enter Delhi who will be BS6, CNG, and electric. This simply refers to the point that the outdated diesel or petrol cars emitting more pollution will not be permitted to enter Delhi. This regulation shall not be for Delhi-registered vehicles, but shall be binding for vehicles from outside.
ANPR cameras will be used to prevent old vehicles that spread more pollution from entering Delhi. These cameras will be installed at all entry points and petrol pumps of Delhi. It will scan the number plate of the vehicles and immediately find out whether the vehicle is old or not. If a diesel vehicle is older than 10 years and a petrol is older than 15 years, then they will be considered end-of-life. Such vehicles will be traced and stopped immediately. Not only this, these vehicles will not be given fuel at petrol pumps.
