LPG e-KYC Mandatory From October 1: Who Will Get Subsidised Cylinders and Who Will Pay Market Price
Oil companies are implementing a dual pricing system for domestic LPG consumers after 10 years. Consumers who fail to complete e-KYC will no longer receive subsidies and will have to purchase gas cylinders at market rates.
Good news for consumers of LPG gas in India. Oil companies like Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) are now ready to enforce the dual pricing mechanism again after ten years.
With the enforcement of the old dual pricing policy, the users, who have not done the e-KYC for their LPG gas connections, will not get the subsidy and will be required to buy gas cylinders at commercial/market prices.
To get a subsidised cylinder, you need to complete the e-KYC of your LPG connection right away. People who have done the e-KYC for their LPG connections will get subsidised cylinders.
