DRDO transferred technology to make missile sensor shield, documents handed over
The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has transferred three advanced materials technologies. These include technology for making protective covers (shields) for missile sensors. The Defense Ministry said on Thursday that DRDO Chairman Sameer V. Kamat recently handed over the documents of the Licensing Agreement for Technology Transfer to industry partners. The second technology is related to the manufacture of DMR-1700 steel sheets and plates for defense applications.

On Thrusday, the Defense Ministry said that DRDO Chairman Sameer V. Kamat recently handed over the documents of the Licensing Agreement for Technology Transfer (LATOT) to industry partners. Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL) of DRDO in Hyderabad transferred technologies to industry partners. The event was held at DMRL in Hyderabad on August 30.
The technologies transferred include technology for manufacturing high-strength radomes to Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Jagdishpur, which will enable the production of high-quality radomes (protective covers for missile sensors) to enhance self-reliance in missile systems.
