The silhouette of the Kia Carens Clavis EV will be precisely the same as that provided in its petrol variant. Minor differences can be observed in the design to provide an electric look. It may have a charging port at the center of the shut grille, a linked LED light bar at the rear, aero-optimized alloy wheels, and minor modifications in the bumper.
The dashboard and design of Kia Carens Clavis EV will also be identical to the petrol model, but there can be minute adjustments in the EV graphics and floating console. There can be dual 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and driver cluster, a black-white dual-tone scheme, and a storage box between the front seats. Along with this, it can come with features like power seats, rear and front ventilation, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, and auto-dimming IRVM.
For the safety of passengers, Clavis EV can be provided with safety features like 6 airbags, parking sensor, TPMS, 360° camera, blind spot monitoring as well as Level-2 ADAS adaptive cruise, lane keep, driver fatigue warning, autonomous braking features.
Kia Carens Clavis EV can be brought with two battery packs 51.4 kWh and 42 kWh battery. The driving range of the 51.4 kWh battery given in it can be 490 km and the range of 42 kWh battery can be up to 400 km. The motor installed in it will generate power up to 135‑170PS forward-wheel drive.
Kia Carens Clavis EV can have an initial ex-showroom price of between Rs 18 lakh to Rs 20 lakh in the Indian market. In India, it will compete with cars like Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE6, Maruti eVitara.
