In this free trade agreement, which was signed in New Delhi on Tuesday, issues related to ongoing tensions and pressures in global trade have been discussed. Following the agreement, in a joint press conference with European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, PM Modi expressed concern over the global situation. PM Modi said, "This is not just a trade agreement, but a new blueprint for shared prosperity." He emphasized that at a time when the global system is in turmoil, India-EU cooperation will provide stability to the world.

During the press conference, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen pointed to the growing tensions in global trade. He said, "The partnership between India and Europe will reduce strategic dependency at a time when global trade is increasingly being weaponized." Leyen said that we are providing security to our people in an insecure world and Europe is extremely pleased with India's rise.

PM Modi stated that India has signed the largest free trade agreement in its history. Antonio Costa called it the most ambitious agreement ever for a market of two billion people.
