Aiden Markram, India vs South Africa 2nd T20: After leveling the series, the South African captain said, "Our fielding was also good in this match. The pitch here was good. There were opportunities for the bowlers. If the batsmen had settled down, they could have put pressure on the bowlers."
India’s cricket team met with a humiliating defeat at the hands of South Africa in the second match of the Twenty 20 series. The match took place at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur. South Africa beat India with a massive difference of 51 runs and thus equalized the five-match series 1-1. South Africa scored a great total of 213-4 in 20 overs, and India could get only 162. India got bowled out in 19.1 overs.
The whole task of the match depended on South African opening batsman Quinton de Kock. De Kock smashed an awe-inspiring 90 off 46 deliveries, featuring 7 sixes and 5 fours. De Kock and South African skipper Aiden Markram added 83 runs in 47 deliveries, putting India on the back foot. Chasing the target, the Indian batting faltered once again. Only Tilak Varma could put up a fight, scoring 62 off 34 balls. No other batsman could even reach double figures, and the team was all out for 162.
South African captain Aiden Markram looked elated after the match. He heaped praise on de Kock, saying, "It was a fantastic win. It started with a brilliant innings from Quinton de Kock, and then the other batsmen supported him well. Our bowlers were on the right track and length, and our fielding was excellent. The bowlers were getting opportunities on this pitch, but if the batsmen settle down, a big score can be made. The support from the Indian fans was tremendous here."

I'm ready to play any role if needed."
