Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has made serious allegations against India regarding the murder of KTF Chief terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, which the Indian Government has vehemently denied. On Tuesday (September 19), PM Trudeau claimed an Indian hand in Singh Nijjar's murder, with Canada ordering the expulsion of a top Indian diplomat.

Following Canadian PM Trudeau's statement, Michael Kugelman, director of the South Asia Institute at the Wilson Centre, said, "This case is very surprising, coming after a very dramatic allegation made by Prime Minister Trudeau against the Indian government. "It's very rare for something like this to happen. It's a Western partner, which is really a big deal. Things like this don't happen that often, so I'm very surprised by it."

On this matter, senior Canadian journalist Tahir Aslam Gora raised questions on PM Trudeau's statement and said, "Canadian PM Justin Trudeau gave a statement in Parliament that India has a hand in the murder of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. What does this moment indicate? Is it? PM Trudeau has just returned from India, and there was much controversial news going on in the Indian and Canadian media. This could have been revealed earlier or maybe later after the investigation was completed. PM Trudeau also said in Parliament that when he returned to India When he was in India, he had a conversation with PM Modi in this regard."

Tahir Aslam further said, “Indian Canadians, who are a huge diaspora, are raising a question in their minds that India never had any ill will or bad intentions towards Canada and the same is true from Canada's side. PM Trudeau also ordered the expulsion of the Indian diplomat from Canada. This is a very difficult situation in the relations between India and Canada. People are now wondering why PM Trudeau gave such a message on this occasion?"

PM Trudeau stressed that the involvement of another country or government in the murder of one of its citizens in Canada cannot be accepted. India gave a befitting reply to this claim of Justin Trudeau. The Indian government rejected Canada's allegations and said that such allegations are being made to divert attention from Khalistanis and extremists.

The Indian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday morning termed PM Trudeau's allegations as baseless. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said that such statements made by the PM are an attempt to divert attention from Khalistani terrorists and extremists, who have been getting shelter in Canada.

These Khalistani terrorists and extremists remain a threat to India's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Many Canadian politicians have adopted a soft attitude towards Khalistani terrorists and extremists, which is a matter of concern.
