GitHub report: India will surpass America in generative AI by 2028
GitHub report: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed happiness over the report released on Indian developers in the use of generative AI. He said in a social media post, that when it comes to innovation and technology, Indian youth are the best.
India has reached the second position in terms of generative artificial intelligence (AI). Developers in India are putting all their strength into AI. According to the GitHub report, the number of Indian developers on the platform has increased by 28% to cross 1.7 crore in 2024.
Compared to 2 crore in the US, as of February this year, about 1.32 crore Indian developers were using GitHub. Now, it is estimated that India can overtake America by 2028. GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke said India has joined the list of the fastest-growing top-10 developer communities of the world. Dohmke shared the list of these countries on social media. It stands at first place in America, second in India, third in Hong Kong, fourth in China, and fifth in the list in Germany.
