The situation has become very bad due to continuous rain in Himachal Pradesh's capital, Shimla. Schools were closed in the state till Wednesday due to landslides and falling of trees. A landslide occurred in Sundarpur of Mandi late on Tuesday night. Many people lost their lives in this accident. According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department, the rain will continue in the coming days.
The situation has also worsened due to floods in Haryana adjoining Delhi. The state government has asked the administration to remain in alert mode. At the same time, people are worried due to rain in Yamunanagar and Ambala of the state and the increased water level in the Yamuna River. Due to rain, schools have been ordered to remain closed till Thursday. In Gurugram, heavy traffic jams were seen on the roads due to continuous rain in the past few days.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the department has predicted rain in many states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, Gujarat, Assam, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and UP for the next few days. The department has asked people to remain alert in flood-affected states.
