Telangana: A drunk man allegedly molested a female IT professional on a flight from Chennai to Hyderabad. The woman filed a complaint with the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police, following which the accused was arrested. The accused stated that it happened accidentally, but the police are investigating the matter.

A man has been apprehended for allegedly molesting an IT professional woman during a flight from Chennai to Hyderabad, the police stated.

According to police, the incident occurred on Friday. The accused is about 40 years old and works in Chennai. He was traveling to Uttar Pradesh and was on his way to Hyderabad. He was drunk at the time of the incident. Police said the woman was sitting with her husband, and the accused was sitting next to them. As the plane was about to land, she suddenly felt inappropriately touched. When she looked up, she saw the accused's hand on her, after which she raised an alarm.

Once the flight had landed, the woman approached the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) police with a complaint. A case was registered against the accused under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the basis of the complaint. Police have taken the accused into custody. During questioning, the accused stated that he touched the woman by mistake. The investigation is ongoing.
