FASTag Users Must Complete KYV Verification to Avoid Toll Payment Issues

If you use Fastag on highways, the government has made KYV (Know Your Vehicle) verification mandatory along with KYC. Without KYV verification, your Fastag will be deactivated and you will be required to pay the full toll fee at the toll plaza. To complete the KYV process, open your banking app or Fastag app and upload the required documents.

There is an important update for you if you also use Fastag while traveling on highways. Now, KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is required, along with KYV (Know Your Vehicle) verification. The government has implemented this new system to prevent Fastag fraud and ensure the authenticity of each vehicle's Fastag. Without KYV verification, your Fastag will not work, and you will be required to pay the full toll fee at the toll plaza. Therefore, completing this process on time is crucial.

KYV stands for "Know Your Vehicle," meaning the verification of your vehicle. This process ensures that your FASTag is installed on the correct vehicle and is not being misused for another vehicle.

Before completing the KYV process, have some important documents ready, such as a digital copy of the vehicle's RC (Registration Certificate), VRN (Vehicle Registration Number), chassis number, and FASTag account details linked to your mobile number. With these documents, you can complete the KYV process from your mobile.
