FASTag Users Must Complete KYV Verification to Avoid Toll Payment Issues

There is an important update for you if you also use Fastag while traveling on highways. Now, KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is required, along with KYV (Know Your Vehicle) verification. The government has implemented this new system to prevent Fastag fraud and ensure the authenticity of each vehicle's Fastag. Without KYV verification, your Fastag will not work, and you will be required to pay the full toll fee at the toll plaza. Therefore, completing this process on time is crucial. 

KYV stands for "Know Your Vehicle," meaning the verification of your vehicle. This process ensures that your FASTag is installed on the correct vehicle and is not being misused for another vehicle.

Before completing the KYV process, have some important documents ready, such as a digital copy of the vehicle's RC (Registration Certificate), VRN (Vehicle Registration Number), chassis number, and FASTag account details linked to your mobile number. With these documents, you can complete the KYV process from your mobile.

How to perform the KYV process from your mobile?

• To do this, first open your banking app or FASTag app.
• Then type KYV or FASTag Verification in the search bar.
• Now, you need to start the process according to the on-screen instructions.
• Next, upload clear photos of the vehicle taken from different angles.
• One photo must show that the FASTag is properly installed on the vehicle's windshield.
• Also, upload a scanned copy of the RC.
• After entering all the details, click the Submit / Send button.

This process may take approximately 7 days to complete. You will receive status information via email or SMS.
