Elon Musk accuses Apple of violating anti-competition law, threatens legal action
Elon Musk: Earlier, Tesla chief Musk had questioned the app spotlighting practices of the iPhone maker's App Store. Elon Musk said in an 'X' post on Monday, 'xAI will take legal action immediately.'

Apple has been accused of antitrust violation by well-known entrepreneur Elon Musk. Apple allegedly made it impossible for any artificial intelligence firm except OpenAI to become number 1 in the App Store rankings, according to him. This is obviously an antitrust violation. Elon Musk said in an 'X' post on Monday, 'xAI will take legal action immediately.'
Earlier, Tesla chief Musk had questioned the app spotlighting practices of the iPhone maker's App Store. In another post on the social media platform, he said, 'Apple App Store, why do you refuse to put X or Grok in your must-have section when X is the world's No. 1 news app and Grok is No. 5 among all apps? Are you playing politics?'
Anti-competition laws are based on regulations that promote fair and open competition across industries and geographic markets. The laws examine monopolistic activity, price fixing, collusion, manipulation, mergers, price discrimination, boycotts and many other business practices that may be against the law depending on the circumstances and the impact on the consumer.
